Keep your automatic gate working through power cuts. The UPS01 is a 24 V DC power supply, battery charger and solar charge controller in one weatherproof box. It powers your gate opener from the mains, keeps a pair of 12 V backup batteries charged, and switches to battery power automatically if the mains fails. Add a 24 V solar panel and it will charge the batteries from the sun too.

Key features

Frequently asked questions

Will my gate still work in a power cut?

Yes, as long as you connect two charged 12 V batteries. The UPS01 keeps them topped up and switches over automatically.

Can I run my gate on solar power only?

Yes. Mains input is optional – connect 24 V solar panels (up to 240 W) and batteries, and the UPS01 manages the charging.

Can I use lithium batteries?

No. Use lead-acid, AGM, GEL, flooded deep-cycle, marine or automotive batteries.

Does it work with my opener?

It works with gate openers and other devices that take a 24 V DC supply and draw no more than 150 W continuously. Check your opener's manual for its supply voltage before connecting. Openers with a built-in mains transformer, such as the CASAR800 garage door opener, plug straight into the mains and do not need the UPS01.
